LAVERDA Geschichte:
Laverda war eine italienische Motorradmarke mit Sitz in Breganze in der Region Venetien. Das Unternehmen wurde 1949 von Francesco Laverda gegründet, der ursprünglich Landmaschinen produzierte. In den Anfangsjahren konzentrierte sich Laverda auf kleine Motorräder und Mopeds, die vor allem für den Alltag gedacht waren.
In den 1970er Jahren machte sich Laverda international einen Namen mit sportlichen und leistungsstarken Motorrädern. Besonders bekannt wurde die Laverda 750 SFC, ein Modell mit direktem Bezug zum Rennsport. Sie wurde in limitierter Stückzahl gefertigt und ist heute ein gesuchtes Sammlerstück unter Liebhabern klassischer Motorräder.
Ein weiterer Meilenstein war die Entwicklung der Dreizylinder-Modelle wie der 1000 3C und der legendären Jota. Die Jota galt zu ihrer Zeit als eines der schnellsten Serienmotorräder der Welt und wurde vor allem in Großbritannien sehr geschätzt. Laverda stand in dieser Zeit für technische Innovation, Zuverlässigkeit und ein ganz besonderes Klangbild.
In den 1980er Jahren geriet die Marke jedoch zunehmend in wirtschaftliche Schwierigkeiten. Trotz mehrerer Versuche zur Wiederbelebung, unter anderem durch neue Eigentümer, endete die Produktion endgültig Anfang der 2000er Jahre. Dennoch ist Laverda bis heute eine Kultmarke geblieben.
Ein wichtiger Teil der lebendigen Laverda-Gemeinschaft ist der Laverda Connection Oberpfalz mit dem Kürzel LCO. Der Club wurde von Liebhabern klassischer Laverda-Motorräder gegründet und hat sich dem Erhalt dieser italienischen Maschinen verschrieben. Der LCO organisiert regelmäßige Treffen, Ausfahrten und technische Workshops für seine Mitglieder.
Besonders beliebt ist das jährlich stattfindende Laverda-Treffen in der Oberpfalz, bei dem Fans aus dem In- und Ausland zusammenkommen. Der Club bietet eine Plattform für den Austausch von Wissen, Ersatzteilen und Erfahrungen rund um Laverda. Neben der Technik steht aber auch die Gemeinschaft im Vordergrund.
Durch das Engagement des LCO bleibt die Faszination für Laverda lebendig. Der Club ist Teil eines europaweiten Netzwerks von Laverda-Fans, das den Geist dieser besonderen Motorräder weiterträgt. Auch wenn keine neuen Maschinen mehr gebaut werden, lebt die Marke in der Szene weiter.

LAVERDA History:
Laverda was an Italian motorcycle brand based in Breganze, in the Veneto region. The company was founded in 1949 by Francesco Laverda, who originally manufactured agricultural machinery. In its early years, Laverda focused on small motorcycles and mopeds, mainly intended for everyday use.
In the 1970s, Laverda gained international recognition for its sporty and high-performance motorcycles. The Laverda 750 SFC became particularly well known – a model with direct ties to racing. It was produced in limited numbers and is now a sought-after collector’s item among enthusiasts of classic motorcycles.
Another milestone was the development of three-cylinder models like the 1000 3C and the legendary Jota. During this era, Laverda stood for technical innovation, reliability, and a distinctive engine sound.

An important part of the vibrant Laverda community is the Laverda Connection Oberpfalz (LCO). The club was founded by enthusiasts of classic Laverda motorcycles and is dedicated to preserving these Italian machines. The LCO organizes regular meetups, rides, and technical workshops for its members.
Particularly popular is the annual Laverda Meeting in the Upper Palatinate, where fans from Germany and abroad come together. The club provides a platform for exchanging knowledge, spare parts, and experiences related to Laverda. Beyond the technical side, community and camaraderie are a key focus.
